Just a quick note to say thank you for a job very well done on organising our holiday
Your people in Mumbai and varanassi have done you proud

All parts of our trip ran faultlessly
We had a wonderful time,

The hotels in Matheran and Varanassi were wonderful
The taj in Mumbai was brilliant
The Fariyas was acceptable if not brilliant

All transfers were conducted very efficiently
It did make for a wonderful holiday.

Only one down point
Our guide in Varaassi took us to all the right places but did not protect us from the beggars/ con merchants trying to get our money and was obviously trying to get us into his friends shops to buy things - not what i wanted !

Thank you once again and we will be in touch for our return visit!

By the way do you cover Sri Lanka by any chance?

Tour Report
Mr. Gerald Hoetzel – Feb. 3 – Feb. 12 2008

First of all we really want to thank you for organizing this trip. What we saw was beyond expectation. It was not only interesting to see all the tourist highlights but to travel through the countryside and small villages, to watch people and to get an impression of both city and rural life. We were very warm welcomed at every place and not treated as foreigners. We hope the next time we will have a little bit more time to spend.

Agra Hotel Clarks Shiraz	Nice rooms, extremely friendly welcome (fruits etc.)	Dinner buffet excellent Breakfast on the rooftop very good	Deeg Palace: seems to be beyond repair (we got the wrong entrance tickets – 100 Rupies paid for a 2 Rupies ticket, local guide requested extra fee) Fatehpur Sikri: very impressive, local guide well informed Agra: arrival in bad weather – local welcome agent and guide could not agree whether or not to go to the Taj Mahal; we went there and turned around at the ticket booth – we were there the next morning; highlight of the whole trip Agra Fort very beautiful, Akhbar’s Mausoleum very interesting

 


Driver: Excellent driving, timetable worked very well, very helpful at Ajmer, chose nice place for the stops (food and drink)

Car: was very comfortable to ride on a SUV, the car makes you feel safe

General Comment on Local Guides: We would have liked to get background information on Indian politics, everyday life, social situation, working condition, educational system, economy, …. and not only on historic details.

We were happy whenever we were served Indian cuisine at the hotels and restaurants because it´s authentic, delicious and of better quality than European style food.

Some improvements to be done: It was a little annoying to pay about 800 Rupies as bribe at the entrance of the terminal building to avoid the long queues when departing India. The airport itself is in a desolate shape.
